Charles E. Preuss

Charles E. Preuss, age 69, of Ogdensburg, died Friday, July 24, 2015 at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah, Wisconsin. Charles was born in Iola, Wisconsin on June 11, 1946, the son of the late Fred and Elizabeth (Rasmussen) Preuss. He married Susan (Erickson) Preuss on July 19, 1969 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Iola. Charlie was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War serving from April 26, 1966 to April 5, 1968. He served some of his active duty time in Germany. He had worked as overhead crane operator at the Waupaca Foundry for over 27 years. Charlie was an active member of the DAV Chapter 53. He enjoyed woodworking and his dog, Skipper. Charlie is survived by his Wife: Susan Preuss of Ogdensburg; Son: Jeffrey Preuss of Iola; Daughter: Jaclyn Preuss of Stevens Point; Granddaughters Autumn and Summer Preuss of Shawano; Brother: Fredrick (Leila) Preuss of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; and Sister: Dorothy "Sis" (Michael) Janke of Symco; He is further survived by nieces, a nephew, other family and friends. Charlie was preceded in death by an infant brother. Funeral Services will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Iola, Wisconsin, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 with Reverend Dennis Olson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the Church. Interment will be in the Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery Town of Scandinavia, Wisconsin.
