Alan Michael Bellows passed away unexpectedly on October 11th, 2025, at his home in Iola, WI.

Alan is survived by his father, Duane Bellows; his children: Vanessa (James) Boutott and Justin (Colleen) Bellows; and his beloved grandchildren: Adrianna, Alexander, and Aiden Boutott. He is further survived by his siblings: Susan (fiancé Joe), Mark (Kim) Bellows, Connie Bellows, Tim Bellows, and Phillip Bellows; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki; his mother, Charlene "Charlie" Bellows; and his brother, David Bellows.

Alan was born on May 2nd, 1961, to Duane and Charlene Bellows in Milwaukee, WI, joining his older sister, Susie (with the rest of the siblings following later). A 1980 graduate of Custer High School, Alan met the love of his life, Vicki, during those years.

After graduation, he began working for Master Lock, where he stayed for two years before welcoming his daughter, Vanessa. Soon after, he started what became a lifelong career as a service technician at Executone, later transitioning through Convergent Communications and finally Ideacom Mid-America. His work took him all over Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa, and he remained proudly employed with Ideacom until his passing. Alan's strong work ethic was instilled in both of his children, who fondly remember him as a hardworking father who always provided for their every need.

When he wasn't working, Alan could be found putzing around in his giant shed-building, fixing, and creating. He was an avid antique shopper who loved stopping "just to look," though he rarely came home empty-handed-often with a new addition to his glassware collection. He was a man who never liked to sit still and was always working on something.

After purchasing their home in Iola, Alan found joy in simple pleasures-cruising the lake on the pontoon, fishing off the pier, or kayaking into quiet corners of the water. He was the kind of man who'd give you the shirt off his back and lend a hand without hesitation. Tough when he needed to be, he loved with all his heart.

Alan's greatest joy came from his grandchildren, especially his granddaughter, whom he affectionately called "Monkey." He treasured their fishing trips, boat rides, and early-morning westerns. Recently, he fulfilled a lifelong dream with a trip to Mexico, where he went deep-sea fishing and had the time of his life.

Per Alan's wishes, he will be cremated, and there will be no public services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a charity of your choice in Alan's memory.

Jude 1:20-21 "But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life." He is loved and will be missed by many.
