Arlette Gale Peterson, 87, of Iola, Wisconsin went to her heavenly home on September 12, 2025. She was residing at the Manawa Community Nursing Center. She was born on May 28, 1938 in Iola to the late Theodore and Leona (Petersen) Moen. Arlette married Ralph (Peterson) Peterson June 7, 1958 at Northland Lutheran Church.
Before her marriage to Ralph, Arlette worked at Zwicker Knitting in Waupaca. After her marriage, she helped Ralph on the farm. She was a stay-at-home mom who loved baking, flowers, gardening, sewing, quilting, polka and country western music, and having a Lutfisk dinner. She was a member of Northland Lutheran Church and their Ladies Aid. The last few years, she was living at The Willows in Iola and the Manawa Community Nursing Center.
She is survived by her husband: Ralph "Mike"; children: Rick (Vickie) Peterson, Randy Peterson; sister: Pat Melum; brother: Ted (Fran) Moen, all of Iola. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by father, Theodore Moen; mother, Leona Moen; brother-in-law: Harold Melum.
The Memorial Service for Arlette will be held on Wednesday September 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Northland Lutheran Church with Rev. Bill Stukenberg officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM. Interment will be at Northland Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Arlette's son Rick for a yet to be determined memorial fund.
The family would like to thank The Willows, Manawa Community Nursing Center, and Heartland Hospice for their care and concern of Arlette.
