Bonnie Beyer

February 16, 1944 — July 2, 2025

Bonnie Jean Beyer, age 81, of Waupaca, formerly of Helvetia Township, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

She was born on February 16, 1944, in Saginaw, Michigan, and spent her formative years in Trenary, Michigan. Bonnie married the love of her life, Jon Beyer, on February 24, 1962, in Trenary. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to the outskirts of Iola to the Beyer family homestead, where they built a life rooted in love, faith, and service to others.

Bonnie had a kind heart and a generous spirit. She was a constant source of strength and comfort to her family and community. She worked as a teacher's aide in the Iola school system and played a key role in founding the township's First Responders, volunteering her service for thirty-three years. She also worked at Tradewinds Manufacturing and later at the Iola Living Assistance-always with compassion and dedication.

Bonnie had a creative spirit-she loved painting wildlife and had a deep passion for gardening. She proudly earned her degree in Marketing later in life, a reflection of her determination and lifelong love of learning.

Together with Jon, she ran a thriving crop farm and greenhouses known as Beyer's Briar Patch. Their fall "Pumpkin Days" and spring flower sales became cherished traditions in the community, with Bonnie's joyful presence and warm smile at the heart of it all.

Bonnie is survived by her beloved husband, Jon; her children: Stacey (Laura) Beyer, Tanya (Donald) Zietlow, and Bradley (Melissa) Beyer. She was a proud grandmother to Emily (Travis) Dreier, Jacob (Sarah) Zietlow, Zachary (Liz) Beyer, Courtney Glover, and Brecca Beyer, and a loving great-grandmother to Olive, Illiana, Harmonie, Auron, Elijah, Jessie, and Joshua.

She also leaves behind her sister, Jana Hytinen, and brothers, Tim (Kathy) Aho and Kevin Aho.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Carlo and Joy Aho.

A Memorial Service celebrating Bonnie's life will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Iola United Methodist Church, with Reverend Leo Cadavos officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM that morning. Entombment of her cremains will take place at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who touched Bonnie's life with kindness and friendship, and especially to their new neighbors in Waupaca, whose support and compassion meant so much during this difficult time.

Bonnie's warmth, strength, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
