Dorothy Eilene Peotter

Dorothy Eilene Peotter, 92, of Iola, formerly of Appleton, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026. She was born on June 29, 1934 in Rosholt, Wisconsin to the late Morris and Olga (Budsberg) Langdok. Dorothy married Raymond Peotter in 1952 in Michigan.

Dorothy and Ray had 73 years together with many adventures. Dorothy enjoyed their cottage, dancing, singing and entertaining. Dorothy was very creative and could do many arts and crafts. Sewing, painting, baking, and photography are a few of what she accomplished. Incredible birthday cakes, Rosettes, Lefse and Stone Soup are things she will be remembered for. She was an amazing mother and with her camera she documented all our lives. We are so grateful to have these memories in photographs. Giving rides on her "Wild Thang" golf cart will have lasting memories for anyone brave enough to ride with her. Yeehaw!!!!

Dorothy was much loved by her caregivers. She continually made them laugh and kept them on their toes. We know she was sassy and unpredictable and the staff loved dressing her up with jewels and fancy hats. We give a heartfelt thank you to Cardinal Grove Assisted Living and Heartland Hospice for the care and love they showed her. They are amazing people that so graciously helped Dorothy every day.

She is survived by her 5 Children: John (Katherine) Peotter, Patricia Krueger, Sandra Beltz, Robin (Cameron) Lafky, Ted (Joanne) Peotter along with 12 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband: Raymond Peotter and Son in Law: Ronald Krueger. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 1.
