George Charles Fischer went to his heavenly home on October 24, 2025. He was born on
December 29, 1938 in Renwick, Iowa, to the late George S. Fischer and Arlene (Smith) Fischer.
George's family moved to Plymouth, Wisconsin when he was a young boy. He attended local
schools and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1957. On October 26, 1957, he married his
high school sweetheart, Patricia Picard.
George held numerous jobs as a young husband supporting his growing family, and eventually
learned meat cutting at Schwallers Meats in Plymouth. It was a trade he continued in the rest of
his career, working at Sentry Stores in Port Washington and Theinsville. In 1975 George packed
up his family and moved to Scandinavia. He was a meat manager at local stores including Ron &
Lloyds in Waupaca, he then worked in the wholesale meat industry at
Kaukauna Meats until his retirement.
George enjoyed his family and spent much time with them!! He enjoyed hunting, fishing,
travelling out West and Sheepshead card games. He had a soft heart for every pet that crossed
his path. George and Pat had many beloved family dogs over the years and a cat or two. His
easy smile, gentle humor, and kind nature made him a joy to be around.

and Sharon. Also preceding him was his son-in-law Kit Williams and daughter-in-law Mary
Fischer, his mother-in-law Audrey, three sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law.
