Justin V. Cady

August 26, 1988 — April 30, 2025

Justin Vernon Cady, age 36, of Iola, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. He was born on August 26, 1988, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, to Vernon Cady and Jodey (Koss) Cady.

Justin grew up in Scandinavia, Wisconsin, where he made countless memories with his brother and sister, cousins, and lifelong friends. His childhood was filled with outdoor adventures, laughter, and strong family bonds that shaped the man he became.

In 2007 he graduated from Iola-Scandinavia High School. Justin was employed as a Supervisor at Tyson Foods in New London, where he was known for his strong work ethic and easygoing personality. Justin took pride in his job and often talked about it.

On April 24, 2021, Justin married his love, Kelsey (Borth) Cady, in Waupaca, Wisconsin. Together, they shared a strong and loving bond and built a life centered around their two children, Jace and Rylie.

Justin brought energy, laughter, and love into every space he entered. Known for being the life of the party, Justin lived every day with a sense of joy and adventure that was infectious. If you knew him, you knew that life around Justin was never dull — just full of unforgettable moments, laughter that filled the room, and a heart that welcomed everyone in – along with a great music playlist, of course.

At the center of his world was his family. Justin and his wife, Kelsey, shared a deep and playful bond. Together for 11 years they were rarely separated. They enjoyed going out with friends, playing golf, eating sushi, listening to music, and dancing in the kitchen.

Justin was a devoted and loving dad to his two sweet children, Jace and Rylie. Jace looked up to Justin as his hero. Daddy was Jace’s favorite person since day one. Justin would often look at Jace with a big smile and say “that’s my boy” – the proudest father in the world. They loved to do yard work together, water the flowers, take wagon rides to get the mail, and have “popcorn movie nights” on the couch. Rylie loved to be up on her daddy’s shoulders, always giving the biggest smile. Although their time together was short, she was Daddy’s little princess. Justin could not have loved his children more.

Outside of family, Justin had a passion for sports and the outdoors. A proud Packers fan, he never missed a game and took fantasy football seriously — sharing trash talk every season with his close group of buddies. He loved fishing with his dad, enjoyed hunting, and rarely passed up a chance to hit the golf course. He also had a true love for grilling – always making sure to send a good Snapchat to his buddies about what he was making.

He was the guy who always wanted to be surrounded by people, to keep things light, and to make sure everyone was having a good time. Justin didn’t just attend life — he lived it, full throttle, and brought everyone else along for the ride.

He leaves behind a trail of beautiful memories, a wide circle of loved ones, and a family who will carry his light forward. His presence will be missed in ways words can't fully express — but his love, humor, and spirit will live on in every heart he touched.

Justin was deeply loved. He still is. And he always will be.
