Virginia Ruth Torgerson, 95, of Iola, went to her heavenly home on Monday, March 16, 2026. She was born on November 23, 1930, in Brookfield, Wisconsin to the late Anton and Caroline (Dersch) Frank. Virginia married Forrest Torgerson on November 11, 1954, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on February 17, 2017.

Virginia had a very deep and personal relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and was very active in her church serving on the altar guild for many years. She would always be found cooking and serving at every church potluck supper. Most of all she was a loving wife and mother. Family was always very important to her.

Virginia was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, crocheting, counted cross stitch, sewing, spinning on her spinning wheel, and rosemaling. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed making lefse with her husband and would cook a full Norwegian dinner every Christmas.

She is survived by her Son Steve, and Daughter Nancy Graf. She was preceded in death by her Granddaughter Karina, Son in law Dale Graf, and all her brothers and sisters.

The Funeral Service for Virginia will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Iola with Reverend Gail Kenny, Pastor, officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service at church from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery.
